Character Profile

Poxi Heika

Born under the silver glow of the Steppe’s vast skies, Poxi Heika’s very existence is a tale of defiance and wonder. She is the daughter of Sharaa Tumet, a fierce warrior of the Tumet tribe, and Rhyzastrahl, a dragon who sought refuge among the nomads after escaping Ishgardian pursuers. Their forbidden union brought Poxi into the world, a child of two realms—her Xaela heritage grounding her to the Steppe and her draconic blood tying her to legends of Dravania. From birth, Poxi bore marks of her mixed lineage: elongated frontal horns, scales glinting faintly like obsidian under the light, and eyes like glowing opals. However, she also inherited her father’s blindness. Unable to rely on her vision, Poxi developed an extraordinary sensitivity to aether, allowing her to perceive the world through the unique aetherial signatures of living beings and objects around her. This gift, at once a blessing and a challenge, shapes every step she takes on her journey.Though loved deeply by her mother, Poxi was a polarizing presence within the Tumet tribe. Some revered her as a sign of Nhaama’s blessing, others feared her as a harbinger of misfortune. As tensions within the tribe grew, rumors of Ishgardian hunters searching for Rhyzastrahl only worsened matters. Realizing the danger she posed to her people, Poxi chose to leave the Steppe. Now wandering the world, she searches for her father’s kin in the Churning Mists while carving out her own identity in a world that often fears what it cannot understand. Despite her hardships, she embraces both her draconic instincts and Xaela pride, navigating her journey with determination, grace, and unshakable resolve.
